     Using the URW A030 (Arial) font family with LaTeX

Loading of the macro package uarial.sty, i.e.

  \usepackage{uarial}
  
makes LaTeX use URW A030 (Arial) as the default sans serif
font family.  Note that this does _not_ change the math
fonts, and that there exist _no_ matching math fonts for
Arial, anyway.



Optional Scaling:

The Arial fonts appear larger than many others, when used
with the same nominal size.  The macro package provides an
option to scale the Zurich fonts, in order to make blending
with other fonts easier.  For instance,

  \usepackage[scaled=0.90]{uarial}

will scale the Arial fonts down to 90% of their nominal
size.  When the value is omitted, i.e., 

  \usepackage[scaled]{uarial}
  
a default scale of 0.95 is assumed.

Available encodings are T1 (Cork) and TS1 (textcompanion).
The TS1 encoding comprises only those gylphs that belong to
the ISO-Adobe character set, plus the Euro symbol.
